The Santa Rosa Junior College Music Department has a wide variety of scholarships available for both singers and instrumentalists. Chief among these is the Mildred P. Long Endowment, one of the largest monetary gifts in the history of SRJC. These scholarships are open to qualified students through the SRJC Foundation. All scholarships are awarded based on a competitive audition that  takes place in April prior to the upcoming academic year. AUDITIONS: Friday, April 24, 2020 You will be notified of your assigned time
With piano accompaniment: 12:00 - 2:00PM vocal auditions; 2:00 - 3:00PM  instrumental auditions
Without accompaniment:      3:00 -5:00 instrumental only (vocalists are required to have accompaniment)

Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for a Music Department scholarship, students must:

  1. Be enrolled at SRJC in at least 6 units and maintain a grade point average of 2.25 or higher.
  2. Enroll and perform in a major SRJC performance ensemble:


   Concert Choir (MUSCP 21A–D)

Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion

   Symphonic Band (MUSCP 30A–D)

   Jazz Band (MUSCP 32A–D)

   Jazz Combos Ensemble (MUSCP 42A–D)


   Orchestra (MUSCP 33A–D)

Jazz Rhythm Section (Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums)

   Jazz Band (MUSCP 32A–D)

   Jazz Combo Ensemble (MUSCP 42A–D)

Classical Guitar, Piano

   Concert Choir (MUSCP 21A–D)
